The Family Court Process is very emotional and stressful. No one anticipates the strain this will have, but understanding these steps and seeking legal advice will help you navigate each court appearance.
The person who begins the Family Law case is called the Applicant.
The other party is called the Respondent.
The Court encourages both parties to resolve their issues through negotiation and mediation
When this is not possible, a judge may have to enforce an Order (for divorce, custody, child support).
